PTFE scrap is generated in the production process through machine turnings while manufacturing PTFE components. The scrap is generated in the production process through rejections while molding or sintering in form of cracked or parts or unusable molding with blow holes in the manufacture of PTFE stock shapes. The scrap is generated in the production process through waste generated in the manufacture of skived PIFF sheets or molded sheets. The scrap has to be carefully and cleanly selected and separated and does not contain any foreign materials except virgin (white) PTFE. The form of the scraps is hard pieces (rests on cutting, sawing, drilling, etc.) as well turnings and do not contain oily or greasy matter. The cleaning of scrap is carried out by using domestic biodegradable detergents.
