Description
1. High-Speed Printing:
- The UP-D897 can produce A6-size prints in approximately two seconds - significantly quicker than other conventional printers in its class. (NB print time in high speed mode, when using UPP-110HG or UPP-110S print media).
2. High Quality Printing at Approximately 325 dpi Resolution:
- Incorporating Sony direct thermal printing technology and a high print-head density, the UP-D897 can produce high quality prints with a resolution of approximately 325 dpi and 256 grey level steps.
3. Medical Regulations:
- The UP-D897 complies with appropriate medical regulations.
4. Universal Powering System:
- The UP-D897 can operate with power supplies from AC 100 V to 240 V.
5. Memory Settings:
- Up to three menu setting values can be saved into memory and printed for reference.
6. Various Print Modes:
- The UP-D897 offers a choice of Standard and Side printing modes.
7. Image Resize:
- A selected portion of image data can be resized to fit a pre-set printing area. This can save time by reducing data transfer requirements when printing.
8. Multiple Copies:
- Up to 20 copies (including original) of the last printed image simply can be produced simply by pushing the COPY button.
9. Convenient Operability:
- A convenient front LCD display panel and jog dial simplify set up and operation. Users can access major settings including designation of print paper type, by using the jog dial on the front panel. Error messages and type of print paper selected are displayed on the LCD.
10. Choice of Print Media:
- Three types of print media meet the demands of various users, including the UPP-110HG High Glossy Printing Paper that produces glossy near-photo quality prints.
11. USB Interface:
- Printer connection is via Hi-Speed USB (USB 2.0) digital interface.

- Print setting information (Bright, Contrast, Gamma, and Sharpness values) can be printed on a blank space of the print media.
13. Panoramic Printing:
- Panoramic-sized prints can be created, ideal for use in dental applications.
14. Detailed Sharpness Setting:
- The UP-D897 offers a choice of 15 selectable detailed sharpness settings.
15. Image Resize:
- Image data can be automatically enlarged to fit a pre-set printing area. This allows users to transfer smaller portions of image data in order to reduce the transfer time.
