Bomb Blast Suppression Blankets are used to suppress the blast fragmentation from anexplosion that can cause damage and injuries. These blankets are particularly useful forsuspected IEDs contained in packages up to briefcase size and for pipe bombs. Each blanket isused in conjunction with a ballistic collar (supplied) which is placed on its edge around thesuspected explosive device. The blanket is then placed over the collar and suspect device. Thecollar directs the force of the blast upwards into the blanket which contains most of thefragments created by the explosion.
