Description
MaxiSeal is a nano technology based impregnating sealer designed for the protection of all medium to dense porous tile/stone and grout surfaces. This product is formulated for resistance against water, alkalis, acid staining and freeze-thaw damages.
It penetrates into the surface and forms an invisible barrier by allowing vapor to escape. It keeps the natural colour of tile & stone intact. All surfaces treated with MaxiSeal are harder and less slippery. It is ideal for interior as well as exterior application and recommended for grout, brick & masonry surfaces, granite, marble, ceramic and porcelain tiles.
Field Test:
It is highly recommended to perform field test to understand the absorption nature of the substrate. This will help to maximize the performance and efficiency of MaxiSeal.
APPLICATION:
SURFACE PREPARATION:
•
1) Remove loose particles, cement based materials
and dust from the surfaces to be sealed with
MYK Laticrete Maxiseal.
2) Clean the surface with clean water and allow
the surface to completely dry.
3) Ensure tile/stone surface is already checked for
the compatibility and effectiveness of Sealer with
tile / stone, by sampling on a small un-obtrusive
area and obtain clearance from the project
manager / home owner.
MIXING AND APPLICATION:
Note: Shake the container well for one minute before
opening the container for use.
1) Apply Maxiseal uniformly over the surface till it is
damp using a clean white cloth or paint brush.
2) Leave the treated surface 4-5 minutes and remove
excess product from the surface using clean white cloth.
The cleaning should be done, using white cotton cloth by
pressing the cloth on the applied surface and buffing the
area in circular motion, before the liquid dries on the
surface. In case any dried residue is left on the surface,
the same can be removed by reapplication of Maxiseal
and cleaning the excess immediately. Multiple
applications may be required for some stones. In case of
multiple applications, allow 6 to 12 hours gap between
the applications.
3) Allow cure time of 72 hours (Air Cure) for sealers to
become completely effective.
PRE-GROUTING APPLICATION
Apply over the tile or stone a minimum of 12 hours
before grouting.

LIMITATIONS:
• Do not use MAXISEAL on any non
recommended surface.
• Protect Metal surfaces, wood surfaces with
suitable protection covers to avoid contact with
the sealer.
Should not allow MAXISEAL to dry on the stone
surfaces.
May slightly darken or lighten some surfaces.
Some of natural stones may change colour when
reacting minerals are present within the stone
matrix.
Sealers will not prevent acid etching and surface
wear marks on stone or tile surfaces.
Subsequent cracks in tile & stones would limit the
performance of sealers
Depending on traffic conditions, exposure to
environment and various chemicals, the
performance of sealer may be hampered and
may have to be applied again as part of
maintenance.
The application of impregnating sealer is the
final treatment to tile or stone surface. No further
treatments like polishing, cleaning or application
of other primers or sealers is recommended as
they hamper the performance of impregnating
sealer.
