We have to face the reality that water as a resource is getting scarce and it is the primary responsibility of each one of us to use water smartly and judiciously. By this method it is possible to channelize rain water to recharge any deep pit, open well, borewell, open unused mine, lake etc. using a pipeline and Jain Filtrain. This helps in increasing the underground water table level. Water collected by this method is available for immediate use for applications like landscaping (irrigating gardens/lawns), residential non-potable consumption (washing/ cleaning/ cooling/ sports). Size and Range Jain Filtrain Rain Water Harvesting Filter is available in 3 sizes. According to the pipes used for channelling rain water accumulated at the terrace, Jain Filtrain is available in sizes 75 mm, 110 mm and 160 mm diameter. The inlet of Jain Filtrain connects to the end of the down-take pipe from the terrace. Jain Filtrain outlet connects to the storage tank / recharge well / top of the open well / storage utility. During the initial / first rainfall the tree leaves/twigs/trash accumulated at the terrace is likely to enter and settle inside the Filtrain/pipe. The end cap at the bottom of the Jain Filtrain can be unscrewed to drain down/out the dirty water away from the water storage facility. The screen element of Jain Filtrain can be removed, cleaned and reassembled for restarting the Jain Filtrain operation. The Jain Filtrain can be assembled with the pipe along the vertical residence wall and enough ground clearance is also essential as depicted in the adjoining sketch to remove clean and reassemble the filter element from Jain Filtrain.
