Description
The Health Care Worker is responsible for proper handling of segregated infections and on infectious waste by disposing the color coded garbage bags as per norms laid down by WHO and municipal corporation of particular region into the designated hospital waste disposal area.
Hospital Waste Management (HWM) is a process to help ensure proper hospital hygiene and safety of health care workers and communities. It includes planning and procurement, construction, staff training and behaviour, proper use of tools, machines and pharmaceuticals, proper handling & disposal methods of all Biomedical Waste inside and outside the hospital, and evaluation.
