Dobefil 60 + Hardener 758 Page 2 of 5 Rev. 11, July 2013 DescriptionDobefil 60 is a off white coloured filled, solvent less epoxy compound. Dobefil 60 is a specially formulated and processed to obtain void free casting, potting encapsulated components. It contains specially selected and processed fillers incorporated under vacuum mixing & has lower abrasive nature. It is ready to use filled system having low viscosity at processing temperature. Dobefil 60 + Hardener 758 is a fast curing system with a hard cured mass. The curing of Dobefil 60 + Hardener 758 takes place by polyaddition reaction, which occurs at room temperature
Areas of Application
Dobefil 60 in combination with Hardener 758 is suitable for: -
• Casting, potting and sealing of small & medium sized electrical electronic components.
• Casting of switch gear components and insulators
• Potting of instrument transformers
• Cable joint insulation, with all types of cables such as PILC, PVC, and Rubber insulated
• Topping of capacitors as sealant
Properties of cured material
The cured mass of Dobefil 60+ Hardener 758 shows good mechanical, electrical & chemical properties. Because of special type of fillers in Dobefil 60, the cured mass shows good thermal shock resistance, reduced shrinkage, low coefficient of thermal expansion & increased thermal conductivity.
The combination of Dobefil 60 + Hardener 758 is used in thermal class 120 (class E) electrical components. Application Method Dobefil 60 contains filler, which have tendency to settle on long storage. Dobefil60, should therefore, be stirred to a homogenous mixture, each time it is drawn from the container. Hardener 758 should be mixed in Dobefil 60
