The FANUC Arc Mate 120ib robot is designed for automated welding, robotic welding, and robotic plasma welding applications. This industrial robot is used in many arc welding scenarios due to its flexibility and reliability. The ArcMate 120ib is a six axis industrial robot with servo driven motors. The FANUC 120ib is available in the FANUC RJ3IB, FANUC RJ3IC and FANUC R30ia controllers. This articulated robot is the predecessor to the hollow wrist Arcmate 120ic

With the capability to perform automated MIG and TIG welding, along with various plasma based applications, the 120ib is a viable choice for most welding applications. The part number for the R-J3ib version manipulator arm is A05B-1216-B201. Integrating FANUC robots in an application can help increase the safety of your workplace. This FANUC welding robot is similar in reach and payoad to the Motoman HP20, ABB 2400, and KUKA KR 16. For welding applications requiring a longer reach, using a FANUC M710ic/20L would be better. For robotic applications that utilize a smaller work envelope, the Arcmate 100ib would be a more cost effective option.
