Nitotile® GTA

Polymer modified high strength adhesive formarble and granite tiles

UsesNitotile GTA is a two part high quality polymer based adhesivefor the permanent fixing of granite and marble tiles.Advantagesó°‚„ Prepacked product requiring only direct mixing at siteó°‚„ High adhesive bond strength - Ideal for vertical andhorizontal applications of granite, marble, etc.ó°‚„ Excellent grab during open timeó°‚„ Quick fixing - reduces labour costsó°‚„ Can be used in the interior and exterior of buildingsApplication instructionsSurface preparationAll surfaces must be sound and thoroughly cleaned beforeNitotile GTA is applied. All traces of grease and oil must beremoved. All loose particles of mortar, wallpaper, paint etc.,must be physically removed. The prepared surface must bewetted with water, prior to application of Nitotile GTA and mustattain a saturated surface dry condition.Nitotile GTA can be applied directly on concrete, cementscreeds, cement or lime mortars provided they are strong.MixingTake the liquid polymer in a suitable container and add thepowder part under mixing. Use a slow speed drill fitted witha paddle to get a uniform lump free consistency. Overmixingcan result in air entrainment which should be avoided. Watershould not be added to adjust the consistency of the paste.ApplicationNitotile GTA is applied on to the prepared substrate andspread with a serrated trowel to achieve a uniform thicknessof 3 - 4mm. Place the tiles firmly on to the adhesive bedensuring total contact with a twisting motion. Choose workareas so that the tiles can be fixed within the open time of theadhesive which is approx. 20 mins at 30 deg.C. Normallygranite and marble tiles upto a thickness of 20mm can befixed in vertical position without problem.
